Sooo, I have a list of all the vegan food spots I know of in Victoria and my goal for 2019 is to literally visit them all.
Just for context-- I eat a lot of food. I live to eat. I count my blessings every morning that I discovered a plant based diet and grew up as a child with a love for studying nutrition (what child reads nutrition books??) because it allows me to eat an abundance of amazing delicious creations without worrying about my health or my weight.
On that note, a pattern you may notice is that I typically don't go ham on shitty food items. Generally I won't ever be reaching for fried menu items or baked items such as cakes and cookies-- I'm pretty responsible with my food choices so that I CAN enjoy what I'm eating without placing any unwarranted guilt on myself. Food should be enjoyed both whilst you eat it AND after. We can love food that also loves us back.

We had an AMAZING 28 degree day of sunshine to accompany us along our trip from Melbourne to Frankston (took us 1hr and 3min to drive) so first pit stop was Preston Market to hit up MonkeyCane for some passionfruit and lime sugar cane juice. We REALLY needed to pee by the time we got to the cafe.
I'm real into summer styles-- all white everything. Being Queensland born I am 100% a summer baby (I was born in Winter but Winter in Queensland is a pathetically sunny excuse for a Winter).
My romper from Sportsgirl may or may not be one of the most expensive things I own (RRP $140.00) but it's probably the most expensive thing I will ever own haha. I'm a minimalist now so I don't really buy things anymore.

And for today's special: Nature Cafe and Bar, Frankston.
My best friend, Gemma, actually managed to find this place on Google and it is SO amazing. I somehow forgot to take a photo of the menu for you guys but I do plan on going back before Summer ends so I can go for a swim and try other dishes so I will take it then and insert it into this post.
I'm guessing you're curious of what we ordered?

> Plant Based Nachos <
Corn chips loaded with nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, melted vegan cheese, guacamole, jalapenos, fresh salsa

> Banana Blossom Fish and Chips <
Gluten-free non mock meat alternative to seaside fish and chips with vegan tartare and salad.
Banana blossom kind of has the dense but stringy texture of an artichoke, pretty delicious.

> Galaxy Acai Bowl <
Acai smoothie bowl with gluten free granola, berries, and edible flowers
I didn't really like this at all, it wasn't very sweet and I think I've discovered that I hate the texture of smoothie bowls being frozen and then crunchy granola and seeds that are really hard. I'm looking forward to Gold Coast acai!!

Don't you just love restaurants that really go the extra mile with presentation? ESPECIALLY plant based food. We gotta get them clicks ya know.

I cannot explain to you how nice it is along Frankston Beach.

I have had this swimsuit since I was 12 YEARS OLD! Yes it still fits and YES the quality is still there. I cannot believe it is from Target hahaha. I really try to wear my clothes until I can't wear them anymore to prevent over-buying and over-consuming. Abandoned clothing contributes to landfill just as much as anything else we carelessly dispose of.
If you like these shades so do I! I bought them from City Beach ('ROC' Brand I think?) and I wear them EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my post-- many more to come! Be sure to check out my Vegan Eateries tab so you can see the list of places I am headed to this year.
